Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all treatments, consultations and services provided by AF13 Aesthetics & Skin, operated by Fiona Russell ("we", "us", "our"). By booking a treatment or consultation, you agree to these terms.

1. Age restrictions

All aesthetic treatments provided by AF13 Aesthetics & Skin are strictly for clients aged 18 years and over. We reserve the right to request proof of age and to decline treatment to anyone who cannot provide it.

2. Consultations

A consultation is required before any injectable treatment. The consultation allows us to assess your suitability, discuss your goals, and explain the procedure, risks and aftercare.

Consultations are complimentary for new clients. No treatment will be carried out during a consultation unless both parties agree.

We reserve the right to decline any treatment where, in our professional judgement, it would not be appropriate or safe.

3. Patch tests

A patch test may be required before certain treatments. Where recommended, treatment cannot proceed until the patch test is complete and sufficient time has elapsed to assess any reaction. Failure to attend a required patch test will result in cancellation of the treatment appointment.

4. Booking and deposits

Bookings are made via our online booking system at facesconsent.com. A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation from us.

We may require a deposit to secure certain bookings. Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment or fail to attend.

5. Cancellations and rescheduling

We ask that you give at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. You can do this by emailing us or using the booking system.

Repeated late cancellations or non-attendance may result in future bookings requiring full payment in advance.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule in exceptional circumstances. Where we cancel, you will be offered a full refund of any deposit paid or an alternative appointment.

6. Medical history and contraindications

It is your responsibility to disclose all relevant medical history, current medications and known allergies before any treatment. Failure to disclose relevant information may affect your results or safety.

We may decline to treat you if you have a condition that contraindicates treatment, and will always explain our reasons.

7. Informed consent

Before any treatment, you will be asked to sign a consent form confirming that:

• You have been informed of the treatment, its risks and alternatives
• You have had the opportunity to ask questions
• You consent to the treatment being carried out

Treatment will not proceed without your signed consent.

8. Before and after photography

We may take before and after photographs for clinical record-keeping. With your separate written consent, these may also be used in our marketing materials including our website and social media.

You are under no obligation to consent to marketing use, and declining will not affect your treatment. All photographs used for marketing will be anonymised unless you specifically consent to being identified.

9. Results and expectations

Aesthetic treatments deliver results that vary between individuals. Realistic expectations will be discussed during your consultation. We cannot guarantee specific results.

10. Aftercare

Aftercare instructions will be provided following every treatment. It is your responsibility to follow these instructions. We cannot be held responsible for complications arising from non-compliance with aftercare guidance.

11. Complaints

We take all complaints seriously. If you have a concern about your treatment or experience, please contact us at aestheticsfionarussell@gmail.com in the first instance.

We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 28 days.

AF13 Aesthetics & Skin is a member of the Beauty Guild, who provide an independent complaints resolution service.

12. Liability

We carry full professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

Our liability to you is limited to the cost of the treatment in question. We do not accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last revised. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
